Eligibility
Market Shares is open to all members of the College Hill community. This includes Brown and RISD students, faculty, and staff, as well as local residents and alumni. All participants must purchase at least one produce share. Although Market Shares was initially designed specifically for Brown’s campus, we believe in making fresh, local food accessible to as many people as possible and have expanded our program. Only in the case that we reach shareholder capacity will priority be given to current members of the Brown community. You will be notified if this happens and moved to a waitlist. Otherwise, it is important to understand that the sign-up acts as a binding contract. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at info@brownmarketshares.com.

The deadline to sign up for a Fall 2023 share has already passed.
Due to the immense and rapid growth of our program, we are reaching our operational and purchasing capacities. Beginning in the spring 2017 season, we introduced a cap on our full-cost shares. We will be accepting full-cost shareholders on a first come, first served basis. If you have any questions or concerns please e-mail info@brownmarketshares.com.
If you cannot pick up your share on a given week, you may arrange to have a friend pick it up for you.
However, we start breaking down Market Day at exactly 6 PM each week, and all food that has not been picked up by then will be packed and donated by 6:30 pm. You cannot pick up missed shares later and you cannot take extra produce the following week. You will still be responsible for paying for missed weeks.
